Open ERP follow two distinct branches for his evolution. The stable branch, which is mature and bugfree, is dedicated to be put in production. We release one new major version of the stable branch per year. The development branch (trunk) release new versions every month with all the new features but the tests cycles on this branch are less evolved.

If you are on Windows and want to clickly test OpenERP, you should choose the "All in One version" of the stable branch that will install the software and all dependencies in a few clicks.
